My goal is to make you as comfortable as possible, give you space to be yourself, and of course to have fun! When you receive your photos my goal is to deliver you something that feels like YOU. The truth is, my work would be nothing without you, you are my artwork, and we are in this together. I will direct you and make being in front of the camera as easy as possible; however, I am always learning from my clients- oftentimes the best shots end up being the ones that you suggest or naturally settle into without realizing.
What to expect while shooting with me?
Get ready for Prompts!
My shooting style is aimed towards creating natural looking photos while still giving direction. The emotions behind my photos is all real, but I’m not going to just leave you to figure out how to pose on your own. That’s where prompts come in- so what are prompts? Prompts are fun guidelines that will bring out that genuine emotion in your photos. This could include doing a piggyback ride, smiling at the family member that snores that loudest, tickling your partner, throwing leaves in the air or whispering something funny in your partners ear.
Photography and getting your photos taken can be such a deeply personal experience. While a typical shoot with me will be full of prompts, laughing and playfulness I am also here to capture soft, intimate moments as well. I understand that not everyone will immediately be comfortable in front of a camera and that is completely normal! That is why first and foremost I want you to see me as someone you can trust- if you aren’t comfortable with a pose I ask you to do, if you are starting to feel overwhelmed or need a break from shooting, I want you to feel comfortable voicing those things to me. I am providing a service to YOU, so your comfortability is most important to me. Always.
